If the U.S. knew that Israel committed mass murder against Lebanese civilians, then we are complicit in these atrocities. If the U.S. did not know, then we are failing in our responsibility to monitor the actions of a nation we arm. Either way, it is long past time for the U.S. to impose an arms embargo on Israel. 

We cannot continue supporting a government that openly targets civilian infrastructure, such as power plants, bridges, and airports. Recent reports show Israel is clearing minefields along Lebanon’s southern border, paving the way for a ground invasion. Hezbollah’s retaliation, with over 140 rockets fired into northern Israel, is a direct response to these attacks. 

The U.S. cannot call for de-escalation while simultaneously fueling this conflict with military support. The use of everyday electronics as improvised explosive devices in Lebanon is a grave violation of international law, \ 

It is time for the U.S. to act decisively by halting the flow of arms to Israel. Only then can we distance ourselves from complicity in these war crimes.g
